Introducing QuinceLu

QuinceLu is a 26 year old who was born in Columbia. Keeping his Columbian roots, his stage name means 15 in Spanish.

His journey with music really started in 2014, momentarily after graduating high school. QuinceLu’s freshman year of college was where he decided that music was something he really wanted to pursue. Dreaming to be an artist ever since he moved to the United States, QuinceLu is finally working closer to meet his goal.

The topic of a genre is interesting for QuinceLu. Although he considers himself to be mainly involved in the rap genre, he doesn’t like to be held back by only being in a single type of music. Growing up in South Florida, he considers his upbringing to be a huge melting pot. Because of this exposure to so much diversity, QuinceLu has had the chance to cover a lot of different genres and test his versatility. Coming to America when he was 5, QuinceLu incorporates lots of Spanish into his music.

QuinceLu’s most successful track is titled, “Witness”. Although he wouldn’t think that it displays his music the best, the audience reaction has been the best out of all his music. He released it in December of 2020. It illustrated a special time for QuinceLu as he was in Los Angeles being independent, having life hit him all at once. He quotes, “I made a Cali vibe song; but with a southern flow”.

QuinceLu’s main influences are artists among Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Nipsey. Additionally Pitbull has had lots of influence on his music stylistically, giving him the Latin roots through his music.
